Final Event

Six new components and five state-of-the-art vehicles: about 85 guests came to the ECOCHAMPS final event to see these up close. At the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam we presented the hybrid powertrain technology that we have developed over the past three years. In particular, we explained how we have used standardisation to be cost effective, while at the same time paving the way for CO2-saving technology.
On April 12th we unveiled the ECOCHAMPS hybrid demonstrators: two passenger cars, a medium duty truck, a city bus and a heavy duty truck. In addition, there were key-note speeches Dr. Fernando Utrilla Ortega (head of Research and Innovation at UNE) and Ron Borsboom (Director Product Development DAF Trucks). The discussions were lively, and the vehicle and components on show raised a lot of interest.
